Hotel Ivory Playa Sports & Spa

Another great holiday at Ivory Playa. The room was clean and comfortable and we were lucky to get a room in the 4th floor with an amazing sea view. Lovely balcony to sit out on a night and enjoy the entertainment which was good overall. We were self catering and there was everything we needed to enjoy some simple meals in the apartment, especially with an excellent Eroski supermarket over the road. We hired bikes for one day from the place across the road and had a great day cycling to Pollenca and Puerto Pollenca. Pools are nice and always plenty of sun beds. It would be nice if the long pool around the corner from the main pool was made a quiet or adults only pool but appreciate this would be difficult to monitor. So close to a lovely beach which we enjoyed a few times. Close to some nice restaurants, especially Bar Hawaii round the corner for lunch, dinner or takeaway pizzas.

I was very fortunate to stay at this lovely, family focussed hotel in late summer of 2023. The facilities were spot and on - clean and spacious bedrooms (ours was a family room, with living room which had two large sofas that converted to beds for the children, adjoining kitchenette, large shower room and adjoining master bedroom with a lot of storage. The pool and daytime entertainment was lovely (aside from the strong smell of onions on one side due to the abundance of allium plants in the beautiful flower beds). The main pool was clean, warm and big enough to accommodate the volume of guests. The two additional pools were quieter if required but to the same standard. Plenty of sun loungers but you did need to get down early to grab a good place for the day. The restaurant had something for all tastes and plenty of it. There was never disappointment. The staff were delightful too and couldn’t be more helpful. Evening entertainment was lots of fun and varied too. A thoroughly wonderful environment and for a 3 star hotel it didn’t disappoint. We’d love to return.

This place is just a perfect mix of everything. Here you can have a quiet peaceful holiday or you can join in with the activities and have a really active time. The hotel is pristine - well looked after, spotless, and really well presented. We tend to keep ourselves to ourselves, but every encounter with any staff member was welcoming and warm. Pool - good size, a relief that no towels could be laid down on beds unt after 9am and a few times we saw towels removed by staff after they had been placed on sunbeds and not used at all. This system works so well as if everybody only used the sunbeds when they really neded them, then there's always enough for all. We never had any issue with getting sunbeds, and we went in the middle of the school summer holidays Apartment - absolutely spotlessly and big enough for 3 of us. We overlooked the petrol station and bush road but there was no noise and we had a nice view of the mountains. Location - beautiful beach on doorstep - a handful of restaurants nearby but an easy bus ride or longer walk to more options. Pol bar served a great selection of drinks and food The enertainment team during the day were so good. We didnt join in but found it very amusing to watch, and they always said hello and included everyone. Conveniently, there's a fab supermarket and bakery opposite! I can not find anything negative to say - Ivory Playa is amazing and you should book it if you are considering!

We visited this hotel in June 2024 with family and friends. We loved it so much that we've booked to return this Septemer and next August! The rooms are basic but very clean throughout, which suits us completely. We had a lake view room which had the sun in the evening. The view of the lake is beautiful. The staff were so friendly and accommodating from the moment we checked in. We were self-catering. However, we paid to eat at the hotel a couple of times, and we're really impressed by the quality and the amount of choice. There's a beautiful deli across the road that does gorgeous pastries, fruit, cakes, olives, oils, etc. It was a great find. There's also a great restaurant next door, which is highly recommended on TripAdvisor, Bar Restaurante Hawaii. 8 of us ate here, and we couldn't fault any of our meals. It was delicious. Ivory Playa is in an ideal location, so close to the beach. There's a rear gate by the snack bar, which is ideal if you want to stay close and pop back for a drink. The pool areas are clean, and there are always plenty of sunbeds. The activities throughout the day are excellent. Our sons loved the paddleboarding and pool games. We could not fault this hotel, the people who worked here, or the location. We can't wait to return!

Just fabulous. Spotless , small complex ideal for toddler and 8 year old always close by when entertainment on. Thank you for giving us the best seaview room. Animation team so polite and loved their job. Loved the variety every evening only criticism was outside acts coming in to keep songs upbeat as quite a few slow ones . Pool bar beers so nice and ice glasses lovely food. We went self catering. Every taxi was 7 or 8 euros to anywhere we wanted to go and also on a bus route. Felt too much of a walk to the Port we walked it once . Old town stunning. Gorgeous bakery across the road and supermarket . Always got a sunbed . Last but not least 50m from the beach our back garden in the hotel. We had a renovated apartment with unreal views ! They were ok size for our age group family. One of the nicest beaches Ive been on. The most reasonable hotel for what you get. For all these reasons we will be back . Thank you..

Check in was fast and staff friendly ..communal areas spotlessly clean ..our room was ok ..bedroom/living room /kitchen area again spotlessly clean..bathroom could do with an update and a deep clean as wasn’t very clean around the bidet ,bottom of shower screen,tiles and black mould on the silicon seal …well equipped kitchen ,comfy beds ,good shower ,good towels and nice garden area with sunbeds and table and chairs ..there was a dehumidifier in both our apartments and a smell of damp which suggests there’s an issue ..we were forever emptying the dehumidifier as it filled up quickly …room felt cold and damp on a night too ..safety deposit box was quite small for 3 adults and could only fit a few things in there ..outside our rooms in the corridor were some wooden cabinets with recycling bins inside ..there was an awful smell from them sometimes and 100’s of tiny flies constantly on the walls and bins ..as you walked past you were swarmed with them .dread to think what it’s like in summer months …only one pillow each but that was quickly remedied after a visit to reception. As it was coming to the end of season there wasn’t anything open close by apart from a supermarket so ended up paying for breakfast and dinner a few times as having two small children in our party it was easier than travelling trying to find somewhere to eat at night for all of us ..we found the breakfast to be great with lots of choices but the evening meals not so good ..soups were nice as were the salads and desserts and the pizza was good too but didn’t always have that ..food wasn’t very child friendly for a family hotel..food at the pool bar was very good apart from they had run out of a few things I wanted as it was end of season .. Entertainment just ok ..some of the acts were a bit cringey but the entertainment team made them better by joining in ..sadly not much going on through the day for the kids or adults this time of year but they enjoyed the pool tables ping pong and arcade . The pools were ok ..one was heated which was nice and other was freezing so hardly used by anyone but plenty of sunbeds as hotel wasn’t too busy and a hot shower which was sometimes needed to warm you back up when you got out of the pool as the weather wasn’t great . The beach which is a minute away out of the back gate is a lovely beach with calm warm sea so great for the kids…you need your room card to get in and out . Whilst the hotel was ok and we all enjoyed our holiday I personally would rate it as more of a good 3* and would not visit again that time of year in that area as just was not enough open nearby .
